Snow and the cold are bad for your sex life
You might not be getting lucky during this cold snap
The cold weather is bad for your sex life, so you won’t be getting down and dirty under the covers in the bed tonight.
All we want is somebody warm to hold to fight off the snow, frost and ice, but while we will embrace our other halves there will be nothing naughty going on. Sorry, lads!
The lack of sunshine really turns your body off the act of love, RSVP Live reports .
So why do we go off sex when it is cold? Well, sunshine produces serotonin in your body which is positive and makes you happy but when it is cold and grey that doesn’t happen.
The cold also has depressive effect on neurotransmitters which also sends our libido on a little break.
Many people also suffer from Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) due to the lack of sun and the ongoing cold. Symptoms of this common complaint can include anxiety, irritability, fatigue, and a lack of energy.
Similar to the sex drive, or lack thereof, it comes down to an imbalance of serotonin and melatonin in the body.
